I'm not talking about the store bought stuff, but actual smoked sausage. What about Andouille? I am looking for something like Jacob's in Laplace. If not here in BR, where is the closest that I can go to find something like that? TIA

Bergeron's in port allen. Right across the river.

I have also heard people speak highly of Tramonte's. Maybe check Ronnie's and/or Jerry Lee's too.

Seriously Angler? I think BR is lacking in some areas but the nonsensical bashing gets a little old, especially when there is a big, great smoked meats shop 5 minutes from downtown.

I wouldnt say you are bashing.. You cannot find anything like the andoille in LaPlace outside of LaPlace.. Its almost like finding good boudin east of Baton Rouge. Hell if it were not for two places in BR that are good it would be anywhere east of the Atchafalaya.

Went pretty good, other than some assholes who tryed to move in on our spot and other assholes who stole tree's table.

But still had a great time, weather was wonderful for a change and everyone liked the Jamabalaya. So all was good, sorry you couldn't make it.

I know you said BR, but if you want to make a trip to Padains in Watson, it's well worth it.

Bergeron's meat market in Port Allen. They also have a ton of other good stuff. The stuffed chickens are incredible.

Have you ever had boudoin from that gas station in Sorrento at the HWY 22 - I-10 exit? pretty good.

I drove out to Bergerons one day thinking I could save myself a trip to Laplace, nope. I have not tried Ronnie's yet, but I have a freezer full of Jacob's now.

If you get off I-10 at the Sorrento exit, Hwy 22, exit 182, and turn right (assuming you are coming from the west), it is immediately there on the right. Have not been there in years, but used to have great boudoin balls, meat pies, etc.

Bergeron's has some pretty good sasauge and craklins..

But the Boudin - I'll pass

Ronnie's boudin is 10x what Bergerons is IMO
