Whatever...he's right on. Why settle for mediocrity when we pull in top 5 recruiting classes. This is the time we should be riding high.

And, most fans are not upset with the loss. People spent a fortune to go watch a great game...and what they got was a bunch of shite. It was the biggest game in TS in 50 years and our offense showed up with a weak-arse gameplan and fell flat on their faces and couldn't score one TD while the D held them to 13 points. Disgraceful.

I went to LSU in the early 1990s. I would like to be consistently better than that.

The sincerest form of flattery is imitation.
Or in your case idiocy.
But I digress.
I have never met an LSU fan who is satisfied with "mediocrity".
At least since Joe Dean left.

We all want success.
But when we don't get it, we don't all act like a 16 year old debutantes.

I am one the "Older Generation of LSU fans". I never said I would accept mediocrity. But I believe these coaches know what to do. This team is not where it will be down the road. It will get better, I just do not know when. I have put thousands of dollars into supporting it over the years and will continue to do so. It not always instant gratification.

What's mediocre about holding Florida to 13 points and being the number 10 team in the country?

We just know what mediocre means. We also know that not every year can the team contend for the national title.

The way people define "mediocre" as "everyone who is not a contender for the national title game" and "sucks" as "not in the top 25" is absurd.

yep they are a bunch of them on here. they are the ones that are satisfied with 4-5 losses a year. they were the ones that were satisfied with the hirings of Curly Hallman and Dinardo. They constantly remind you "You don't know what is like to be a tiger fan, I was there when during our dark years". They hated the saban hire b/c we paid too much money and they constantly made cheap shots against saban and said he was a dick etc. Those fans are the weak link in our fanbase and they love Leslie Miles.

If he wins five or six straight he might get to mediocre.
He is currently abysmal.

The new generation thinks that anything less than a national title is mediocrity. It goes hand in hand with their sense of entitlement.

Ding ding. the sense of entitlement that the majority of 20 somethings have blows my mind. do something to deserve it. Command respect don't demand respect.

That being said, mediocrity is not acceptable to me either but I understand how hard it is to win 10 plus and go to the NC each year. Trust me, UF will be going through transitions next year. I do feel it is come to Jesus time with miles and his attitudes and offensive mind set.

Last night was hard to swallow, we should have won that game holding UF to 13. I am proud of our defense and that watching ESPN after they did not pound us and pretty much made it look like I defense was on the prowl last night. Fix the offense, this year can be very solid.

Having completely unrealistic expectations is always a bad thing.

Not knowing what "mediocre" means also is a problem. Not from a fan standpoint but a life standpoint.

Also, unreasonable expectation are bad. We can want to win a national title every year, but we can't fire the coach for failing to win the title every season. no coach can live up to those expectations. None.
