Not trying to flame... just asking a legit question since I've seen the cycle after team have success (Neyland post '01).

I was at the games in '00 and '05 and it was loud, but usually when the message boards want to fire the coach, the crowd is quieter.

Has that happened at Tiger Stadium? or is the still the same? Lot of hype about it this week in the media.

Day games = Tiger Stadium = Lame
Night games = Tiger Stadium = Ehh
Night games + Premiere Opponent = Death Valley = unbelievable

I think that pretty much sums it up

I'll get some rope so you can hang yourself in the bathroom for asking a stupid question like that.

No.

After '01, UT has only had two seasons with as few as 3 losses. Tough to keep up the hype when the product isn't as good. Not trying to flame you either but there is a correlation there.

Meanwhile, we've had one mulligan season under Les (last year) and otherwise a string of double digit win years, and still #4 in the country....

TS is not overrated one iota.

this answer has absolutely nothing to do with the OP's question regarding the stadium

Oh yeah, just ask opposing coaches and teams that have felt the Valley Shake!

It has fallen off for sure in the last 5 years. I guess the "big" games are still great, but the rest of them (and you'd be surprised what some posters on this board will say isn't a big game) are not that great. In fact, the first two LSU home games this year (ULL and Vandy) had the ESPNU announcers ridiculing LSU fans for leaving the game at halftime.

Considering how TAF has really screwed the students and priced the tickets for the "wine and cheese" crowd, it is not as consistently loud as the 70's and 80's.

Overrated? No.

As intimidating as it once was? Night games, yes. Day games, no.

Wow...you know Neyland stadium is where the Vols play right? He's wondering if Tiger Stadium compares to what happened Neyland after 01.

Work on your reading comprehension, bud.

This is one of the better analogies I've seen.

It's not as bad during day games as it used to be.

I'll tell ya what's overated, Neyland Stadium's 12 inches per seat in those bleachers. I've seen UT fans, not many can make that 12 inch seat!

Tiger Stadium during a day game could be any other venue in the country.
