calls and plays and penalties and all that shite affect the game evenly for both teams in almost every game.
we had a 90 yard TD throw that HS quarterbacks coulda made that Cox didn't. shite happens.

every team should blame the refs for every loss because there is always a bad call by the refs for every team
Yup.... and for LSU fans to say that that penalty didnt help us is fricking ridiculous.

Pretty sure Scott had another 15 yards left in the tank for the TD run.
Exfrickingztctly.
Chuck's run would have just been 15 yards longer. He made UGA his bitch on that play and he was taking it to the house regardless.

quote:FWIW, MOST UGA Fans don't believe that. The worst call of the game in their opinion was the non-intentional grounding call. PFs on LSU and UGA had no ultimate effect. All LSU needed was a FG at the end. The CS run would have put us well within range. Any true football connoisseur knows that.
LSU benefactor of bad call

How do we know that the kicker wouldnt have punched it through the back of the endzone? Also, I guarantee the same play call sequence wouldnt have happened had the kickoff been deeper. So the thought "It only took us 23 seconds to score" is fricking stupid.
How do you know he would? You said it probably saved our asses. This is unknown. LSU may or may have not benefitted from a call, that is not called consistently.

let me give yall a little hypothetical here. 2nd and goal on the one. uga sends richard samuel through the middle and he makes it through standing up for the TD and is past LSU's defenders. according to your incredible logic, if we had run this play on the opposite one, samuel would have scored a 99 yard TD.

if chuck had another 40 yards to go on 33 yard run... STILL a TD.. so it's all lost in the wash.

So you think the kicker would have lined up and kicked the exact same way? When a kicker kicks it out of the back of the endzone why doesnt he do that every time??? Its called variables. Every little thing makes a difference.
with Holiday back there common sense tells you they try to kick it out the endzone every time. You don't toy with his speed on a KO return. In his previous 2 kickoffs he put one a couple yards deep, and another landed on about the 6-7 yard line. He is all of a sudden going to become Morten Anderson in his prime?
quote:
Again, how do we know they wouldnt have squibbed the kick?
b/c it would be retarded to squib when we only need a FG. Why guarantee us nice field position without even having to waste clock time running it back?
quote:
Baseball: Runner on first base, gets picked off stealing. During the at bat, the batter ends up hitting a homerun. Do you bitch that it should have been a 2 run homer? NO, because the pitch sequence would have changed had that runner remained on first or even stolen second. How do we know the wouldnt have intentionally walked the batter to set up a double play? You dont, the variables changed.
Same as in the game yest, the 15 yard penalty changed everything. Be happy that it was in our favor.
except that is an awful analogy. In both situations UGA tries to kick it as deep as they can and make us go the length of the field....just like they did every other time they kicked off. Also, the fact that our Offense was off in the second half makes it even more obvious that this would have been the strategy.
we get it. You are mad that you were wrong about UGA beating us, and now you doom and gloom 6 loss predictions prob won't come true....but you are really, really grasping here.

Oh my god you are fricking retarded. There is a huge difference in a goal line set and a base defense in the middle of the field. Of course if he gets through the line no one would be there because everyone is on the line. I can't believe you posted something this dumb. I am shocked.

Sorry guys, the officials no call on the safety was the correct call. The Ga. QB was outside the hash marks, was not down, and just threw it as the rules permit. With that said, the rule as it exist sucks. It was obvious he was doing nothing more that saving his team 2 points. Change the rule if you do not like it, but get off the officials arse on this one.

This is all okay. The refs realize they stole one from us at Auburn back in 04 with their bad call and saw an opportunity to redress the balance.

we aren't saying it didn't help. Of course 15 yards helps. But, it's not the reason we won. We still had time for multiple plays.

oh really so you mean defenses change based on field positions and situations? i had no idea. thanks for proving my point "done" arse.
Posted on 10/4/09 at 7:17 pm to rockchlkjayhku11
Uhhh The defense would still be in its base set if it was 15 yards farther back from the 38. The difference between 38 and own 47<<<<<<the difference on the goal line. You know nothing about football.

he didn't even need to score. Scott only needed 15-20 yards on the run to put us in FG range even if we were 15 yards further back. Plus, we had time to run another play or 2 for additional yards.

How about the RS fumble call that wasn't a fumble. Changed the whole game. Without that call evey subsequent play would have been different and by my calculations we would have won by 50!

you dont know shite about what im saying. the play would have been different on both sides of the ball bc of the situations. just bc you break free on one play and score doesn't mean the same thing happens on every spot on the field.
