I thought it looked like the biggest POS I have ever seen. Can't believe Cusack would be in that movie. Seemed like something Brandon Fraser would star in.

In all honesty, ID4 was a great popcorn flick back in 1996. That movie is was better than the other three on this list.

ID4 was like someone posted above, a great popcorn flick. I still watch it when it's on t.v. every now and then. But The Day After Tomorrow sucked and 2012 looks like it is going to suck too. I would've thought these graphics were awesome in 2000. Today, not so much. It looks pretty terrible.

but the 'upload a virus from my macintosh to the alien mothership' was about the worst suspension of disbelief ever. when it comes on now, i have to turn it off about the time everyone heads into the bunker. good scenes are over by then anyway.

the special effects do look shitty. it makes the movie appear to be so fake and unbelievable that i would have a hard time watching the whole thing. 
it would be nice if they could have effects similar to ones in War of the Worlds or Armageddon. Those were awesome.

I did enjoy the movie up until the end, but infecting an alien computer network with a virus is just too ridiculous and farfetched. You should have left the movie insulted and pissed off.
