I try to do it as much as possible, especially the week before and on the day we play UF. Most Gator fans are pretty cool about it.

I wear it all the time here in San Antonio. Only get jokers, nothing rude. Hell, the bar I go to is putting a national championship baseball poster up for me.

Never, its actually been a good conversation starter when opposing fans see it.

This.

The only guy that ever gave me shite about it was in Israeli gate agent at the Paris airport. That was probably because I was an American, but he did bring up my LSU '07 NC shirt that I had on.

Anybody else get this?

I live in Montgomery, AL and wear LSU gear regularly, like a t-shirt or ballcap. No one ever says anything. A guy came up to me one day and gave me a "Geaux Tigers." So, it was cool to identify another LSU fan.

But, other than that, no one ever says a word. People are pretty nice about it.

I've never received any hatred here in Houston, just a lot of friendly banter.

Today I was wearing my LSU polo and ran into a mid 40's guy wearing a LSU hat, affliction shirt, jean shorts and camo crocs.

Wear my LSU hat to Friday night football games here around east Texas and always see LSU gear.

Talked to a couple this week who were from Baker and had transferred to Beaumont area for work.

It's pretty cool to talk about home for a few minutes with what would have been strangers except for a hat.

ETA: Get some friendly ribbing from Aggies and Horns at times.

Every trip that I make, I've met or seen someone else with LSU gear on. It's kind of weird, now that I think about it.

It does initiate some interesting conversations, though.

I have gotten a "Geaux Tigers" on the Champs Elysees and in the ticket line at the Louvre.

I got a "War Eagle" in the Amsterdam airport and on the Paris Metro.

I had a nice talk with some Gators on the Acropolis.

It depends where I have lived in this decade.

Michigan: indifference except for several months after Saban left MSU, then some Spartans were asking why I was wearing LSU. Most thought I was a UM guy trying to rub in the defection of their coach.

Nebraska: Most Children of the Corn were indignant to see someone wear apparel for a university other than Nebraska. Comments consisted of "Why are in you wearing that?" (in condescending tone) or "LSU sucks".

Dallas: I heard occasional comments of annoyance from fans of Zero U or Tex-arse. Mostly, people didn't care since they were focused on pro sports.

California: Most locals couldn't care less about college sports. A few times per yr, some locals ask, "What's LSU?". Some people see purple & gold & assume I'm a Lakers' fan.

Not so much here in Georgia. I wear LSU t-shirts or ball caps to the gym 3 times a week or so, usually get a good response rather than negative.

In Morgantown, I've gotten honks in response to my LSU plates. Not much in the line of angry looks or mean comments...yet. I should wait until 2010 2011 seasons though. I may have to hide my sofa and car.

I've gotten mean looks for thanking people for allowing us a bid to the NC game in 2007 by losing to Pitt, but I asked for that.
