whats your opinion on him as an analyst?
i enjoy him breaking down the game, but his holier than thou im a NFL player and your not attitude is really, really annoying

He keeps on saying the Vikings are going to win 6 games just because he is mad at Brett Favre. It is starting to annoy me.

I wouldn't call it a holier than thou attitude, but he definitely makes sure everyone listening to him knows he used to play in the NFL several times per segment. I find Mike Golic to be much more humble about his professional athlete status.

Couldn't agree more. I've always found Schlereth to be extremely aggravating for this reason.

At least he actually did something in the league, unlike Merril

it seems like he's becoming a bigger cry baby by the day. when he talks about a guy he doesn't care for or agree with it's like his feelings are genuinely hurt.
he's still, however, a better analyst than most of the other ex-players.

I know he's done some acting work, but he talks like a fricking drama professor. He's a fricking offensive lineman. Dude has metrosexual written all over it.

i use to be a huge fan over the past few years.. but this year he has really bothered me with exactly as you put it.. "holier than thou" type of perspective on everything.."
and you are absolutely correct about this
"it seems like he's becoming a bigger cry baby by the day. when he talks about a guy he doesn't care for or agree with it's like his feelings are genuinely hurt. "
he assumes he knows everything inside a locker room bc he was a player and all.. but i don't think he's all that accurate or truly understands..

Merrill Hodge went to a Pro Bowl I thought. He was a pretty good RB, until the concussions.

Complete tool. Always begins with, "When I was playing for Denver, I did........."

maybe.. something has definitely changed with his tv personality..
i just know he was never as bad as he has been this year.. and it's really ashame because i did use to like his insight/perspective.
gruden may be my favorite nfl personality they have on espn at the moment..

I like Gruden as well.

He is a whiney bitch. His voice is to soft. Sounds more like a ballet dancer.

He has worn out his welcome. He begins too many of his points with "I know what it takes to win Super Bowls, I've won two of them."

I'n sure John Elway wakes up every morning and the first thing he does is thank the lord he had Mark Schlereth as a teammate.

Not sure what it is, but he seems drunk every time. Maybe it's because he goes off on his little tangents and gets so wrapped up in them, that his words start to jumble together.
