I read on here sometime ago that they was still a fast track in operation. Somewhere near the sunshine bridge. Is this true?

Yes it is in the Texaco gas station with the huge American flag on the approach to the Sunshine Bridge

I didn't truly learn to love Fast Track until they were quickly disappearing. It's a shame as it was pretty damned good. Whoever ran that franchise screwed it up by expanding too fast then it all came tumbling down.

Fast Track was started because of a Baton Rouge doctor who had a bet with a good friend of his. The doctor bet that he could open a burger joint and be successful. He did and won the bet. The doctor certainly didn't need the money that Fast Track generated because he had a successful practice. I don't remember the doc's name but I'll find out for you when I talk to my BR friends.

His name is or was Richard Hill. And their burgers were great.

Oh yes, yes they were.
I'd actually always get a chef salad from Fast Track. Even as a kid. Weird.

This is true and the story above is somewhat true. He's still around. He owns Bocage Shopping Center where Calvins and Dearmans are located.

That dude lives in my hood. At a party the other night, he told me all the stuff he is/was involved in- Fast Track being one of many food ventures. He is also involved in Boutin's.
