IMHO, Corley would be better at DE, just based off when I saw him at McGill-Toolen in Mobile.

Frankly, I think this is just some summer rumors. The murder was a while back and I think he would have already transferred with Phelon. Although Phelon's departure might have given him so second thoughts. Can't blame him after what Sidell has been through.

As far as playing time, he has a shot at starting next year, and playing a lot this year so staying at LSU is the other option he has.

Damn, I didn't know about any of this. What ever he does, I hope it works out for the best for him!

On the little video that I've seen of Hicks, he looks talented but raw as hell. He also is only 19 years old I think, so I'm not expecting a Wroten-like impact or anything close to that. On the 45 sec highlight video on lsusports.net, he looks good at DE but plays way too high at DT.

That's all I can tell you about him. If he is way down on the depth chart, I wouldn't mind redshirting him to give him more time to blossom.

We're going to need at least one of the younger guys to step into the DT rotation, assuming Alexander's knees aren't complete shite. I guess going into the season, I always assumed it was Hicks due to him being JC(without seeing any video whatsoever), but him not getting into the offseason program put a damper in that. Nice to see some prospective from someone who at least saw a little video.

I'm guessing it's between Hicks, Corley(?), Davenport, and Edwards. Downs definately looked like one in need of a redshirt, unless the offseason program did wonders. I like what I've seen from Edwards in the little I saw in the spring game, but I'm looking forward to seeing what his weight is now. 280 as listed is a little small. He was raw as hell coming out of high school, so if he's ready to contribute now that speaks wonders on the guy. His athletic talents are certinaly there.

Why is Bama taking all of our scrubs...don't they have to make room for 30 other guys that they over signed?

Edwards looked real talented in the spring game, at least from the stands. But seriously, he did push Hitt right into the QBs face one play for what would have been a sack. Kid is a bigtime talent for sure with that athleticism for his size.

Davenport is getting rave reviews. Hopefully he really is that good.

I think Downs could help about as much as Nevis did as a true freshman. Which means I'd like to redshirt him, but he's probably good enough to get some snaps if needbe.

I watched the fricking highlight of the spring game on lsusports.net more times than I'd like to count, and there's a few plays where he gets some good penetration. It was hard to pay attention to line play at the game.

Davenport was pretty raw, it's hard to get good technique I think when you're so much bigger than the opposition in HS and you're not full strength pretty much all during senior year. If he's ready now, that's scary.

I thought Nevis was better off physically than Downs was coming in, but it's been a while. Then again, he pushed around all everything lineman like clockwork at under armour camps/game, so maybe the offseason program was enough to get him game ready. At the end of the day, I'm just posting on a message board so there's a huge chance I'm completely wrong on everything.

What a dick thing to say.

And maybe they aren't scrubs, maybe they were redshirt freshmen on a team where even your supposed stars looked like scrubs due to the coaching.

I hated to hear what Corley's family has been through. If he is coming to Alabama, I welcome him. Maybe a change of scenery is needed. Regardless of where he may, or may not, end up, I wish him the best.

I have no personal knowledge about Sidell's situation but it would seem to me that if he's getting a hardship transfer he's more likely going to South Alabama than Alabama. That's just pure speculation but it's based on geography.

You follow up a retarded statement with a BINGO?

That makes you a retard.

Corley's problem is that his weight gain caused him to lose a step. The coaches moved him to DT and he gets manhandled down there.

Going to Bama because he lost his mother does not make sense at all. He lives closer to family in Mobile right now. He would be moving further away.
Just a grass is always greener mindset. Same thing with Phelon.

He knew the writing was on the wall when true freshmen were passing him up on the depth chart. I wish them the best.
Don't try to spin it to make the LSU coaches look bad. Corley has played under two different defensive line coaches. Both had him outside of the two deep.

That sounds like BS. Guys don't transfer and get hardship waivers in a period of two or three days. Broderick Green just got his hardship waiver a few days ago, and he transferred back in January.

Elliot Williams will be doing something similar, and it's not even a guarantee that he will get a hardship waiver even though his mom has cancer and Coach K wrote a letter to the NCAA.

Yes, but Sidell is tranfering to BAMA. Hardship Scholly will be granted within 2 weeks time.
