A guy on Bama's rivals message boards is saying that Sidell Corley is transferring from LSU to Bama. Does anyone have any info on this?

I heard he wanted to be closer to home after his mother's murder. I didn't hear to Bama though. So Alabama?

That sounds like BS. Guys don't transfer and get hardship waivers in a period of two or three days. Broderick Green just got his hardship waiver a few days ago, and he transferred back in January.

Elliot Williams will be doing something similar, and it's not even a guarantee that he will get a hardship waiver even though his mom has cancer and Coach K wrote a letter to the NCAA.

Considering what he's been through, I couldn't blame the kid.

i never heard about his mother passing.. when did this happen?.. don't understand the bit about being closer to home b/c mobile to BR has to be a similar distance as mobile to tuscaloosa, right?

I know, but he may have other family there or he just might be looking for a change in scenery.

If so, someone needs to quickly get him a map. Tuscaloosa is no closer to Mobile than Baton Rouge.

If he transfers to Bama to be closer to family the only reason I would think is he has family closer to central AL and not in Mobile.

this would not be a shocker

his boy Phelon went that route and considering the tragedy of his mother I could see why he would want to be back in Alabama

Its a shame, but I couldn't blame him.

He didn't look like he was making an impact on our D-Line from most reports..not that he sucked but we had depth in front of him

He and Phelon never really hit their strides in Baton Rouge. I commend them for turning down Florida and the home state Tide to try LSU ...good luck if true, Sidell

This would be a big loss. He was a huge recruit when we landed him (passed on Frank Alexander for him).

He is still very young and would get his chance to see some PT for the first time this year.
