I think it's an even trade knowing that Erin Andrews would transition seamlessly onto Entertainment Tonight (her paired with Maria Menounos = $$$$) and having the comforting feeling that Pam Ward will never call another football game in her life.

That sort of attention wouldn't keep most women from working in sports. Sexual assault -- and, make no mistake, Andrews was assaulted -- will.

I guess this is how feminists are able to claim that 1 in 4 women are victims of sexual assault.

that and the fact that they count having sex with a consenting drunk girl as rape in California.

First off, I feel terrible for what happened to EA. That said, most female sports reporters aren't worth the saline injected into their tits. They are there for eye candy purposes. The sports world isn't losing anything without the EAs of the world not reporting; some other good looking broad could fill her place.

a keyhole isn't big enough to video rowe, unless someone's trying to simulate a lunar eclipse or something ..

i listened to andrews being interviewed late one night last year on a sports talk show ... she really doesn't know a whole lot .. really couldn't ad lib anything about the SEC ... she's fed 95% of what she says by a producer in the truck through an ear piece and then writes the script on her steno pad .. you can always see her glancing at it on the sidelines ..

I've found "sideline reporters" in general to be entirely worthless and allow for in-game distractions from what is going on in the field outside of the usual missing a play because of the commercial break

Yeah, CBS did the right thing by getting rid of them altogether. Other networks should do the same.

They are completely pointless and contribute nothing to the broadcast. In the age of the interweb simply having a cute girl on hand does nothing for me.

i've never really understood the purpose of a sideline reporter at all unless it is to relay injury info to the broadcast booth ..
