I googled it, and apparently she was hanging out with Bobby Frasor Wow, I figured she could do better than that. Anyways, his dad said that the whole thing wasn't even true, but the rumor was just that they were at the same bar.
If a male sportswriter had a couple of beers with a 22-year old athlete, I don't think anyone would raise an eyebrow or question their professionalism.

I agree RAg, but even if they were down there to relay injury info, they could just get the scoop, tell the producer, who could then pass it on to the play by play who could tell us. There is no need to have glorified barbie dolls, or ex athletes like Eric Dickerson who can't speak English down there to "give us the story from the field level".
