just read that in the advocate. it seems like cador has got a slight case of the red-arse. dont get me wrong, im all for lsu helpin out other in state schools but cador is sayin how if lsu would have come next year it would have made the budget for southern. sorry roger, thats not lsu's problem.
sounds like a southern problem to me.

I can't imagine that LSU has so many high quality opponents in the middle of the week next year that this game could not have happened. I agree that it Southern's problem, but LSU could have done this with only traveling ten minutes from home.

I would imagine they'll still play...just not AT SU.
And I see no reason for the defending National Champion to give up a home game to go play a SWAC team.

but LSU could have done this with only traveling ten minutes from home.

Are teams required to play away games during the season for their mid-week games by the NCAA? If not, then I understand the decision.

Southern is a good neighbor. LSU and Southern have played for years.
If LSU can play Nicholls in Thibodeax, they can play Southern on the Bluffs. JMO.

They play out there to appease the fan base that cannot make it to BR for games.
Besides, LSU played at Southern during the 07-08 season. The last time they traveled to Nicholls was 04-05.
The baseball team seems as if they make a road trip to an in-state team once per year. Sorry if your budget needs an LSU home game, but LSU's budget needs LSU home games as well.

LSU needs to focus on generating revenue. As you can all see from the Alleva letter, ticket prices are going up. I choose to support LSU and not the regionals in LA.

and southern's baseball program is in the same shape it was 25 years ago .. so what good has playing LSU really done them outside of delaying the inevitable, which apparently is the fact that southern's baseball program can't make it financially without playing LSU ?? southern still does the same shite, wins the uber weak swac 3 out of every 5 years .. usually two and BBQs non-competitively in the NCAAs or might pull a rare first game upset here and there and then have their asses handed to them in the next two .. it's a broken record and roger cador has gotten lazy and assumptive in his dependence on LSU year in and year out .. time to stand on your own two feet jolly roger ..

If it's true the world changes, then why do we still have to worry about having historically black colleges? Shouldn't everybody have to change?
