Last time I checked, anyone can attend Southern. If you don't like them being recognized as being historically Black, then that sounds like a personal problem.

playing the race card in this conversation is a crock of bullshite .. roger cador has a number of white players on his team .. so the idiots implying that LSU is "turning it's back" on a black college can frick themselves .. the jaguar nation is so incredibly overrated it is not even funny .. southern fans do not support basketball and do not support baseball .. if the football team isn't undefeated or the opponent isn't grambling, they really don't support the football team either ... cador needs to get off his dependence on LSU to prop up his budget .. i think it is time to snip the cord on southern, mcneese, louisiana tech, UL-monroe, centenary, nicholls state and northwestern anyway ... replace them with some quality non-conference opponents .. the only in state schools i'd play every year would be ULL, tulane, and UNO ...

And while you are at it...grow a set of nuts and realize this is a business issue and not a race issue. The word welfare is very present in the business world and certainly applies here.

It's a general concept. Businesses live and die everyday on their own merits of success and failure. This concept of pity on the little guy or fairness doesn't come into play. Example: Mcdonalds will not help Burger King survive. Coke does not help Pepsi. Their preference is to destroy them and try to gain market share.
Now based on that, LSU has not gone to those lengths to destroy Southern, Tulane and the rest. LSU is not the bad guy for maxing out their profits.

This isn't just about baseball. There are plenty of sports at LSU that don't even come close to making a profit. The profits of baseball and football have to pay for those sports.
