Good sides to serve with steak

What are some of your favorites. I'm thinking of doing a steak tonight and I figured I had to start a thread somehow to please tigahrag's insatiable lust for my steak threads

i really like fries with a steak...not like cheap diner fries though. like the ones you get in a good steak house

Caprese salad
Roasted peppers(poblano/anaheim)
Tomato salad(red onion, blue cheese, tomato(heirloom/beefsteak), vinaigrette, balsamic, ect.)

When grilling at home, I can't pass up making a good baked potato loaded with butter, cheese and bacon bits.
Of course the asparagus are a good option too.

I really enjoy roasted brussels with a steak as well.
Sea salt, course black pepper, olive oil, some really good, thick bacon that has been cut into pieces.

Delmonico Potatoes.
These Potatoes are the traditional side dish for the Delmonico Steak.
INGREDIENTS:
· 6 medium potatoes (about 2 cups when cooked and diced)
· 1 3/4 cups light cream
· 3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
· 1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs
· 4 tablespoons butter
· 4 tablespoons flour
· salt and pepper to taste
PREPARATION:
Boil potatoes in lightly salted water until almost done. Drain, peel. and dice. Place in a buttered baking dish. Combine flour and butter in a saucepan over a low heat. Mix into a roux.
Slowly add cream, stirring constantly. Simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Pour over potatoes, toss to coat. Cover with cheddar cheese and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake at 400 degrees F. (205 degrees C.) until cheese is golden brown.

the green beans my friend makes. sounds gross but they are great. 3 cans green beans. half a pound of bacon cut into little pieces, half a stick of butter, worcestire not sure how much i just always cover the bottom of the baking dish, and brown sugar probably 1/4 a cup then cover and bake at 350 for about 45 min. they are my boyfriends favorite
