UT's got good meat in their 3-4-5 guys, they are relatively comparable to our middle order guys.

Not really.

LSU 3-4-5

Blake Dean - .335, 17 HR, 70 RBI
Micah Gibbs - .292, 6 HR, 42 RBI
Mikie Mahtook - .326, 7 HR, 36 RBI

(Ryan Schimpf - .344, 21 HR, 67 RBI) - He is our 2 guy, FWIW...the "meat" starts in the 2 hole for LSU

Texas 3-4-5

Brandon Belt - .335, 8 HR, 42 RBI
Russell Moldenhauer - .243, 1 HR, 11 RBI
Kevin Keyes - .308, 7 HR, 43 RBI

The comparison is a laughable one.

Come on they played in tougher conference, had a harder regional, super regional, and bracket...
If they had LSU's schedule they would all have hit .350 or better with 10+ home runs.

Shows you don't follow CBB. We beat ASU twice this year. And OU, and FSU and we'd have gotten CSF twice, if we had the chance.

He's an Alabama fan. If the Bear didn't coach it, then it's not a real sport to an Alabama fan.

We will find out next week if LSU had the easy road to the Championship, or if all roads were easy to the Championship.

We've faced no-one. Oh, I forgot: We defeated the team twice that beat the Shorthorns 4 or 5 times this year without losing to them (Rice). None of the repulsive arguments the Texas fans make matter anyway. What matters is the 0-2 record they will have in the CWS championship series after Tuesday night.

That what I said, that all forgot we swept Rice.

Looking at the BA rankings, from March through the CWS to date, LSU played 5 of the top 15 teams in 14 games (Virginia, Rice, Arkansas, Florida, and Ole Miss), with a record of 11-3, including 5-0 against 3 teams in the top 10 during the tournament (Rice, Virginia, and Arkansas).

Texas has played 3 teams in the top 15 since March in 8 games, with a record of 5-3, including 2-2 record against teams in the top 10 (the two losses against Rice in mid-week games and the 2-0 against Arizona State). In the tournament, Texas has faced only one top 10 team, ASU.

So, bottom line. When some Texas fans talk about LSU not being "battle-tested," they clearly have no clue.

That said, it should be a very interesting and tough series.

Both Arkansas & Virginia beat Cal State Fullington

Virginia beat UC Irvine twice & handed San Diego State’s Stephen Strasburg his only loss

in regards to Rice. Do you people just make up stats? Our losses to Rice get more by the day.

Take some time and go back over UT's season.

You will see that...

#1 They were not "0-5" against Rice.

#2 They won a bunch of games, and lost a few, by 1 or 2 runs. This team isn't built to hang 10 runs on everyone and was never expected to do so.

Oh, and shaggybevo is probably the best UT site right now. Not the busiest but on it's way. More LSU fans over there the better I say.

Bad news then my friend. Cause this team was built to score 10 and pitch for 3.

After reading shaggyBeaver for a little while I'm surprised at what an inferiority complex Texas fans have. They're trying to play the "no one is giving us a chance" card. I guess that makes them feel better if they win and not as bad if they lose.

The funniest thing about all this is Schimpf leads our team with homeruns and he is a contact hitter. He does not swing for homeruns, but because he makes good contact he gets them. If you watch him he never tries to kill the ball but instead he just tries to get the bat on it.
