Since 2005, here are the winning percentages of the "top tier" coaches in the country.
Pete Carroll - USC - .8846
Mack Brown - Texas - .8654
Jim Tressel - Ohio St. - .8431 (suck arse easy schedule)
Urban Myer - Florida - .8302
Les Miles - LSU - .7925
Bob Stoops - Oklahoma - .7778
Nick Saban - Alabama ('07 & '08 only) - .7037
Even taking the BEST 4 years the "Great Nick Saban" had at LSU (2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004), his winning percentage was .7843 winning percentage, which is less the Les.

We have a good coach, but an even bigger inferiority complex.

It's because ESPN hates us.

Just wait til Moffitt gets a hold of ESPN.

This thread would be better if no Miles-Saban comparison was pointed out.

He used facts and not opinions...so I'm gona give him benefit of the doubt.

Go back and look at the 5 seasons Saban was here.
Saban's teams had a heck of a lot more difficulty when it came to Top 10 or Top 15 opponents.

Nick was turning around our losing culture. Les is maintaining our winning ways. Hard to actually compare precisely.
For now, I'll take Les. This and/or next year will cement Les' reputation as a "top tier" coach. IMHO.

LSU is yet to beat one of the better teams in hte SEC by more than seven points. I'd say that's having difficulty with good opponents.
Saban was also in the midst of the rebuilding process where they had to "learn how to win" again.
Miles inherited a program that was a year removed from a national title.
Bit of a difference there, ya think?

Fair enough, but he destroyed a top 10 Virginia Tech team, throttled BCS#1 Ohio State, and crushed a top 10 team in Miami. I believe Georgia Tech was also in the Top 15 when we played them.

Winning big this year will end the negative recruiting Alabama and others are currently using against Les Miles and LSU. I.E. that Les was only winning with Saban's recruits.
2010 and beyond begins the 'Miles Dynasty' in the SEC for the forseeable future. The highlight will be when Saban leaves Alabama for Penn State, because Nick will realize he can't dominate teh SEC the way he could the Big Ten.

Dumbest arguement ever. I will never understand the fake LSU fans that are still in love with Saban. Dude was ok, but Les has taken the program to a level Nick could only dream of.
If you are so in love with Saban and want to suck him off then go become a Bama fan. We don't want that dumb arse attitude around here. What does Les have to do for some of you morons to except him?
Ok I'm off my soap box now.
