I hear you. I think if Payton commits to a balanced run game like he started to at the end of last season that the 3rd and shorts won't be a problem anymore.

I openly admit I hate Reggie. I always hope for the best and expect the worse with him.

He's not even the best running back on the team. He's a great punt returner and a great pass recieving RB but that's not worth Reggie money.

I pray he turns out like Faulk but there's not much to indicate he will.

I think most people are too critical of Reggie. You just have to take him for what he is. He's always a threat, he's a great receiver out the back field and if he's given just a bit of open space he can make some serious shite happen. He's a great punt returner and he always has to be accounted for by defenses because of his versatility. There is no point in crying about him not being worth the money. He had to get signed and I didn't know one person that didn't want him when Houston signed Mario Williams. If anyone said they didn't want him it was only because he went to USC and we all know what SEC fans think about the Pac 10.

It's easy for all you E-critics to look in hindsight and call him a bust, overrated, and a pussy. But the fact is, on Sunday in September when he takes the swing pass out the backfield, jukes a line backer and out runs the safeties to the endzone, every single one of you will be taking part in the REGGIE! REGGIE! REGGIE! that will engulf the dome. Quit being so damn hypocritical. The Saints are a better team with him.

Does anyone expect Reggie to improve or do you think he's peaked for all intents and purposes?

Its not so much a matter of improving although he could improve a bit but its more a matter of putting together a complete season.

He'll be a better running back this year than he was last year. I know this because I read it on the internet.

There's no way he can live up to the hype coming out of college but I'd still like to see him live up to the $60M at some point. I'm willing to give him this year. If he keeps the status quo I think the Saints have to move him while he still has value.

Of course the season he leaves town he'll blow up for 2,000 all purpose yds and 25 TDs.

Damned if you do...damned if you don't.

Really?

And no I won't be chanting Reggie Reggie. I cheer more than loud when the Saints do something good though.

I've said it over and over but I guess I'm just and E critic and ED is a proven source. It's all about getting what you can get when you run the ball. Reggie refuses to learn that and you even saw SP get in his arse about it last year.

Stay healthy and hit the hole and I'll be chanting Reggie but I agree with SFP he's not "fine"

Where's the list of requirements that justify $60 mil ?

averaged 3.8 yds per carry with a shitty offensive line performance when he played mostly. His last two games with Nicks in the lineup, he averaged 8 and 5 yds per carry those games.

Even in totality... 3.8 isn't that bad when that's not his main specialty.

Willie Parker
Matt Forte
Ryan Grant
Ladaniain Tomlinson
Jamal Lewis
Marion Barber
Justin Fargas
Willis McGahee
LenDale White
Cedric Benson

All guys who averaged less than 4.0 yards a carry last season.

I'll keep saying it. Until he starts playing NFL running back he's not earning it.

Do you honestly think he's lived up to a $60M contract?
