Went for lunch yesterday. Club Royale on croissant with added sliced avocado. Mmm!

I get that but turkey muff and a cup of gumbo. I haven't been to Jason's in a long time though.

The only possible reason I can see to go. I didn't even go there when there was one close to work in Houston, where there was a lot less competition than here. Now, not a chance.

I have never been much on chains. I generally try to support the locals, even when traveling. Most of the things posted as favorites here can be had elsewhere in town, and for those that I like, I would bet the local version>>Jasons.

Not meaning to be argumentative...but...as of yet, I have NOT found a better Rueben, or better pastrami. Not saying its not out there...I just haven't found it yet.

i live in the dc area, so jason's is *kinda* like supporting a local place, or at least a regional one. they got rid of hfcs in all of their stuff except fountain drinks and they are actually working on that. they sell me muff and po-boy loaves so i can make my own at home and that's the only place around here you can get anything CLOSE to muff bread or po boy bread.
i see what you're saying if you live in louisiana, and i'm all about supporting the locals, but in general these guys do good stuff. they aren't like your typical chain. i put these guys and five guys in a slightly different category.
so, i like the quarter muff/roasted tortilla soup combo.

Agreed....but they are sorta local to me. I grew up eating there when they were a Beaumont local outfit. They are still headquartered there I tink.
