Having few excursions outside of New Orleans, I recognize my limited perspective.

Here are the ones I know, in no particular order.

1. Pancho's --- it doesn't get any more authentic than this. I am just worried that the new one opening will be filled to the point of having long waits with the immigrant workers who have moved since Katrina.
2. Casa Garcia mi gustaria!
3. Tacoria La Mexican
4. Tacoria Sanchez
5. Tacoria Corona
6. Carreta's
7.
8.
9.
10.

You fill in the rest.

Serrano's.

Never saw the draw to this place. Decent salsa, ok queso, the everything else on the menu is overpriced and isn't tasty at all.

Ninfa's

The Ninfa's in Baton Rouge is actually one of the better ones I've ever been to...the original Mama Ninfa's on Navigation included.

I've always found both about equally mediocre.

The taqueria on Seigen was pretty good, though I only ate there once in BR. Every other time I was there was to buy fajita meat or other things to cook at the market.

Very true, but at least St. Charles Ave. is nicer to look at than Government St.

Neither as nice as Labarre. I'm so glad it's relocating to Old Metairie, closer to me. Old Metairie is becoming more cosmopolitan.

Well Powerman consider the generator of this thread. Mr. Small Penis himself. We all know he is culinary impaired.

Never been. Nor have I been to Pancho's since 1979. Chains I eat at are Flemings, Zea's and Bonefish on occasion. Bar at PF Changs is ok for a baseball game.
