imagine how many points ellington would score if he shot as much as curry did in a game .. fricking black pete maravich that one is ..
The flip side to that is imagine how much better Curry could be if he had someone else there to take the load off of his shoulders a bit. He could get less defensive attention, take better shots, get more assists, etc.

this was his big attaractive point last year, his fgp.
hes at 45% this year after being over 50%
threes hes only 38%
You do realize that it is ridiculously impressive to shoot 45% and 38% respectively considering just how much attention he is getting right?

its down from last year, and its in the socon
look, the dude is a great player, theres no doubt, but i think people have fallen in love with him because he was the "cinderella" of the tournament last year. just bc other guys dont do what he does doesnt make him better.
hes like the colt brennan of college basketball, but not a rapist

If he is Colt Brennan, then who is Ellington?

idk, i just wanted to use the rapist line
i just think that everyone is vastly underrating the competition that major conference and small conference guys play

ron the real question is why do you care so much?
because Ellington had a nice game vs LSU, he thought he could try and call people out again. When he was wrong the first time.
Ron, you throw in Thornton now, and YES, you might have an argument then.
Ellington, no.
Thornton can create and is an unconscious scorer.
And you keep saying Curry only lights up bad teams, but look at his GAME LOGS!! He lights up the good teams he plays too. Look at hte tournament last year for a small window sample

and my point is still, that when you are the only player on your team worth a shite, and you are good, you are going to look VERY good
and ellington didnt just have a good game against lsu, hes been playing at that level for weeks lately. and guess what, ty lawson has been hurting for weeks now. any coincidence?

That is what Ellington lacks that Thornton and Curry does not lack.
Ellington, in 3 years, hasn't really shown much ability to create.
And I already said above, I understand the system he is in, he doesn't have to. BUT in 3 years of playing basketball, we would have seen signs. Hypothetically, if Thornton played for UNC hte last 3 years, i dont think we'd be saying he can't create, because he would have shown signs that he could, maybe not to the extent he does at LSU. But we would know he is capable.

Ellington < Curry
Wrong, Curry would dominate squared what Ellington does if he played alongside 8 McDonald's all-Americans. Ellington has game, but Curry is hands down a better basketball player.

ellington plays light years better defense, is a monster in the 2nd best league in the country. curry couldnt even get his team in the fricking tournament

Sure. And he is very good.
Ellington is a good shooter. He CAN NOT CREATE like Curry
get it through your head
seriously, watch UNC's next game, and tell me how many times he catches and shoots, or catches, takes 2 dribbles and shoots.
then count how many times he tries to create his own shot

but he had a great game against lsu, lester!
this single game is CLEAR evidence that he's a better player!

until someone else comes to your defense ill actually think you might have a point. but if you have watched any kind of ball over the past couple of months you will have seen ellington playing outstanding basketball

Curry is a beast on a bad team. Ellington is a beast on a team with a lot of help. He is good, but doesn't have to work as hard as Curry to get his shots off. Other teams have to double on TylerH or TyLawson and that leaves Ellington open a little bit more.

and anyone who was a college basketball fans longer than the past couple months (unlike Ronald) will have seen ellington completely disappearing in some games and being a terribly streaky shooter who relies entirely on his teammates to create wide open shots for him
but like i said, Ronald's apparently been a college basketball fan since about 8 weeks ago
