if ellington or thornton played at davidson they would have equal or better numbers.

Thornton, maybe yes.

Ellington, no.

You're right. I'm not saying there is a difference.

But you're the one who called them out for saying it. The point is that it's ALL speculation. Both ways.

i agree.

but bc of what curry has done in one tournament at a small school where he is the spotlight player doesnt make him god

to just write off other guys bc they play on better teams and dont need to be steph curry is just retarded in my view

wayne ellington has been absolutely dominant over the past month. tourneys, and end of acc play, with lawson being out.

people wont even consider it, and that is what blows my mind

He has been good in more than just the tourney last year though.

And are people "writing off" Ellington, or just disagreeing with you that he's better..?

I think most people would agree that both are very good players. But the argument isn't are they good, it's which one is better.

FWIW, Ellington is good. No doubt. But I think Curry is better. Better/comparable stats on a MUCH worse team. And even the comparable stats are kinda misleading..such as 3 point shooting. Curry averages just about as much as Ellington, and he's shot almost twice as many.

And Curry was sick last week (against a better team than what UNC played in their first round).

I think there is no question that Curry could start for UNC, the thing is I don't know if he would have ever gotten the chance, considering nobody wanted him out of HS.
