i think thornton could put up better scoring, but i doubt he'd get the assists curry did. curry's more consistent
ellington is better at guarding 2s for sure, but again, i doubt he'd get the apg at davidson. he seems more of a complimentary scorer than a primary guy. that's why people bring this up. curry has proven himself to be the primary guy against big competition

i think they could both get the assist numbers there
they would HAVE to get them for their teams to win
they would HAVE to get them for their teams to win

who says replacing them with curry would lead to even/more wins? i think that's the point you're just accepting

the original argument that was started was that i said that curry would not start at UNC, if that helps you see where this came from

Curry > Ellington
Curry does a lil more on the offensive side of the ball..Ellington is one dimenstional scorer and Ellington often dissapears on the court in some games

I agree.
But Thornton and Curry are different from Ellington.
I know how the offense runs at UNC, mostly through TH, and Ellington's role is mainly a shooter. But in his years at UNC, if he truly was a legit threat to take it to the hole, we would have seen flashes of that by now. And for the most part, I have not. He seems a little slow off the dribble to me.
I believe Curry and Thornton set themselves apart from Ellington with there ability to make plays off the dribble that I dont think Ellington could do on the level they do.

I'm gonna have to defend Curry on this one........Curry can create his own shot better than almost anyone.......not only can he create his own shot but he can seperate himself from the defender while doing this.......Ellington put it on Temple who I admire as a defender but all those shots were contested well, they just went in........
I like Curry as a more complete player than Ellington.

good. i stand by what i said
if ellington or thornton played at davidson they would have equal or better numbers.

To be fair, you can't call out LE for "that's just speculation" and then say:
