Favorite college basketball team (specific year) ever

Try to make it a team that you consider yourself a regular fan of. Maybe you liked a player or the way a team played...
My 2 favorites are Syracuse in 2002-2003 and UConn in 2003-2004. I picked both to win National Championships, and both came through. Carmelo Anthony and Emeka Okafor are my 2 favorite college basketball players of all time.

Bandwagon fan. How about a favorite no matter what their record is? I have won four pools in my lifetime, but it pains me to pick against the TIGERS!!

Obviously, the OSU team that went to the championship a few years ago was awesome. Had a nice mix of young contributers (Oden, Conley, etc) and veteran leaders (Jamar Butler, Ron Lewis, Ivan Harris, etc). The 99 Final Four team with Scoonie Penn and Michael Redd was special as well.
My favorite, though, was probably the 05-06 team. Had a lot of likeable players on it, like Terence Dials and Matt Sylvester. Won the Big 10. A little disappointing result in the tourney (lost in the 2nd round as a 2 seed to #7 Georgetown), but still kind of marked a "return to prominence" in Buckeye basketball, and helped set the stage for the runner-up run the next year.

uh...yeah. im the youngest and an entire family followed college basketball. there is probably one basketball game i specifically remember watching from like ages 4-7.

Team, probably the Thad Five team(NC Runner up). That UNC/Ohio State game is still one of my all time favorite basketball games(yeah, we lost). Game had so much intensity.
If we were talking players alone, I don't know that many of the Thad5 would be on it.
