Runs thru screening, thru protection, and gets 5 to 8 shots off, yet NO ONE returned fire? Not one shot into this guy's chest?

Why? The guy was shooting

I’m glad we got this one alive. I hope we get names of other conspirators from him.

So yeah, someone will have to make me understand what a threat is, if he isn't one.

Bottom line, at all.levels, security is moronic and or scared to squeeze off shots

I was just thinking this as I heard it on Fox News. I assumed he was shot and survived. Nope, apparently he was tackled.

How the frick do you actually shoot a Secret Service agent and fire off a couple more rounds and not get severally perforated?

I’m sure it’s rather impossible to answer that question at this particular time, having not heard an official, “first person” account of the details (that they’re able to give, keeping in mind the necessity of not hampering the judicial/prosecution aspect of the matter). One possibility that comes to my mind is perhaps the agents in those closest, immediate positions made a reflexive decision that innocents were in a deadly crossfire type situation, combined with the contemporaneous observation that the perp was in a situation where he could be neutralized with non-deadly tactics.

Every round discharged in a crowded room is a potential "stray bullet." Some could even pass through the assailant. If the assailant is within a closed area with multiple law enforcement officials present, it is much safer and more professional to tackle him (or her).

My point exactly. ICE is defended about shooting the lady who drove at them. And I agree

This guy breaks thru security, is armed, and shoots a cop and fired 6 more shots into a venue where the sitting US president and VP were sitting.

WTF justifies action? If that were a more open venue, shots would have made it towards the president and his wife.
Why is he not absolutely fyrios

Youre nuts. He broke in, was armed AND FIRING HIS WEAPONS, shot an officer, and was still actively firing.

This is a HUGE failure

Bit an answer to the question, is it.

Feel free to not be a dick, and actually answer. Guy SHOT A COP and was still shooting.
