Secret Service would provide inner ring security. Outer ring would have been city police

I guess the city did not provide much. Or the private event sponsor was not willing to pay for it.

Secret service would also have tactical teams behind closed doors and curtains.

I don’t see a secret service failure.

I am surprised guests were not scrutinized or restricted but I guess they cannot tell a private business how to operate unless they buy out the hotel rooms.

They all would've been there. The City Police, the Capitol Police, the Park Police, the FBI, and the Secret Service. They all had skin in the game with the different levels of Dignitaries involved.

Security was tight but was designed for the average American, not someone who was running.

Meh.... More of this gray area bullshite like at Butler?
Wherever POTUS goes, should be locked down tight! Especially after two previous attempts.
This would have ended much differently had a handful of well armed and tactically trained assassins, wearing body armor, had swarmed the entrance.
Especially if they grenades or similar.

No way this lone nut case should have got as far as he did.

Heard the one of the guys covering the entrance Cole used locked himself out and the other guy had to leave his post to let him back in.

Oh wow, yikes!

Security worked though, this idjit got nowhere near the President, his cabinet or anyone else in attendance of this event.

But how does this happen three times in two years? There was an investigation back in 2024, and some people in the agency were shuffled around, but nothing really came of that.

That is kinda insane, saw another post that indicated he was on the Govt radar for non-descript threats against POTUS. Saw he was also a guest at the hotel. Those two things weren’t contrasted?

USSS provides multiple rings of security and then supporting agencies layer in, typically toward the outmost rings.

But your post implies USSS the innermost ring only, and that is objectively false.

That fat lady who fumbled her gun around was suspended, returned to duty.
Suspended again, returned to duty, and recently suspended AGAIN!!!
THAT IS A frickING PROBLEM!
Not the standards I would expect for agents responsible for protecting POTUS.

Were you at LSU-Bama in 2019?

Who checked you as you entered BDS?

It sure as hell wasn't University or Tuscaloosa PD.
