POTUS Trump could simply return Arlington to the District of Columbia and easily fight fire with a bigger fire. The MSM and Dems would have a coronary.
Yet, it is completely legal and really needs to be done.

Perhaps the congressional seats should be a function of the registered voters party affiliation statewide and put an end to the desire for gerrymandering.

He should absolutely do this. That area was retrocessed back to Virginia in 1847 to protect slavery when DC abolished it.
It’s has a pretty good selling point built in. Good luck opposing giving back land to the capitol that was illegally and unconstitutionally retrocessed to protect slavery

It's a guaranteed slam dunk. Plus, I get angry everytime I look at the NE map of the USA to realize how many democratic reps and senators are in our Congress from such a small area of the country!

Arlington is in Fairfax County. Virginia has a unique Independent City vs County thing. If you’re an Independent City, you’re not part of the County. There is a Fairfax City that isn’t part of Fairfax County. Unique to that state. Fairfax and Alexandria are Independent Cities. Arlington is not.
