Did your priest include the happenings between the Pope and Trump in the homily?

Yes, the priest took sides with Trump over the pope.

Mine included it but no names just a roundabout way. I was trying to figure out if that came down from the Diocese

Not at the one I went to, which was surprising.

However, there were a few intentions that smacked of Vatican influence.

Yeah, there's definitely concern about growing Vatican influence over the Catholic Church.

Nope. Only talked about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

The FW bishop sent out a letter that I took as being very bias against Trump. If the diocese has to go to this level of propaganda to defend itself, then it seems obvious they know the Pope stuck his foot where it did not belong

The letter also included a paragraph about Trump's post of him healing. Lol.

No mention of the Pope adlib of Scripture which I see as a disqualifying character from the Pope. The Pope should never even come close to inserting his words into anything resembling scripture.

No. He reminded us that we should continue the spirit of the Easter season. No mention at all about the Pope and President Trump.

Our Bishop did issue a statement referencing the conflict between the President's decision to confront the Iran threat and the Pope's traditional call for Peace. He then went on to remind us Catholic Social Doctrine is always focused towards the dignity of the human person and the terrible toll war inflicts on people. I saw nothing in his statement that could be interpreted as anti-Trump rhetoric.

And given that our Bishop was appointed to his office during Papa Bergoglio's pontificate I'm watching for any sign of Bergoglio's absurd "Seamless Garment of Synodality" in his homilies or the homilies of my parish priest. So far I see none.

Meantime I continue to pray for Pope Leo, our Cardinals, Our Archbishops and Bishops, our Women Religious, and my Parish Priest and Deacons. And for the victims of clergy sexual abuse and their families. Trust me those poor souls need our prayers.

Jesus, I trust in you.

No. The two disciples on the walk to Emmaus was the Gospel reading. Jesus became known through the breaking of the bread.
