Exploring buying the AWD Platinum for the wife to zoot around in. The Honda dealership experience for our Odyssey has been terrible and we looking to make a move.

My family swears by Toyotas. My mom has a 2025 Sienna and loves it. It’s worth it for a family vehicle.

My brother and his wife have had one for 2 or 3 years and they love it. He brings the whole family to the camp when he hunts and it tows his fourwheeler and gear no problem.

Its a beautiful machine, I wish I had a family, I would put the wife up in one , then treat her right at night.

They used to be my go to reel for salt water. Inexpensive and would last many years. Lately they don't appear to be as solid as the only ones but the price went down. Shimano makes a decent product overall

My 2012 was amazing.
They are all Hybrid now.
If they were still an all gas option I'd own one.
The problem we found was resale sucks and we keep vehicles so long when the come to sell it I'd have to replace the 7500 battery too.
Bought an Odessey. They now all have the 10 speed transmission.
I dont like the AC in the pillars and not overhead anymore but we deal with it.

The late teen model sienna's are friggin tanks. Lots of airport shuttle companies use them and 300-500k miles is common with just regular maintenance and a few things here or there like a wheel bearing or cv joint. Seems like there's a banjo nut on the oil feed that's prone to leaking too.

Have a 2022 platinum, been an awesome machine
Very spacious, keep in mind that the platinum only comes in 7 seater configuration (middle captains seats), while the lower models have 8 seater with 2 long rows
The entertainment system and dash cam options are decent
Could not recommend the sienna enough

2012 Sienna was okey till it fell apart at 11 years. Moon roof corroded through, repaired with rv sealing tape. Side door closures broke/bent. power windows quit working. Back hatch had to be operated manually.

Wife is excited to actually have the rear facing kids get some AC now

If you have a couple or more kids, I can’t imagine wanting to drive anything else.
We have an odyssey and love it. Was a pure personal preference on the feel of the drive vs the hybrid sienna. But both were great.
My wife needs a new car. Trying to convince her we should just buy a second minivan.
I mean once you’ve had filet it’s hard to go back to sirloin.

Tundra here. 250,000 miles and never had an issue.

Has there been any issues with the battery? I think its warranty is 100K. Probably dies at 101K but that’s the cynic in me.

I want the woodland edition and then want to lift it another couple inches.
I’m spoiled by at least 8.3” that’swhatshesaid and AWD or 4x4 is nonnegotiable where we live.
Anyway, I want one but every time I go to buy a new car I talk myself out of it. I actually want it for the wife nopics to drive. Great MPG. Drives like a car. Tons of cargo space. AWD and decent ground clearance. All in a Toyota. No brainer except for the sticker.

Sienna
My wife drives a 21 LE and as much as I hate to admit it, it's a good vehicle. Great gas milage bc it's a hybrid. For a minivan it's not the worse vehicle to drive. I thought I'd hate it a lot more than I do.
She wanted a minivan bc of the side doors, with three kids it's easy. So whatever makes her happy I guess.
