Nah. Let em live with the fallout of their terrible choices.
quote:

Despite having huge reserves of oil it could tap into, regulations make utilizing that resource infeasible. California has become increasingly reliant on imports to satisfy its fuel needs.

...
While much of the country would be happy to let California suffer the consequences of its energy policies, two professors are warning that the military and economic importance of the state make a growing energy crisis in the Golden State a matter of national concern. They are asking the federal government to get involved.

...
This means that starting within a month, California will face severe supply shortages of crude oil, jet fuel and gasoline. The shortages may force California drivers to pay as much as $15 per gallon for gasoline, and it will impact air travel.

...
These problems will extend far beyond the state. Nevada gets about 80% of its gasoline from California, and Arizona gets nearly half of its supply from the state.

Trump has nothing to do with California gas. Nothing

They are so woke that they made green new energy laws making it mandatory to use a special fuel and no refinery in America has any interest in producing that special fuel

Nah, the Navy has oilers for a reason, and they carry JP-5 too. Let California sink.

Sounds like a policy and regulation problem, and not a national emergency issue.

Maybe they can solar power their way out of this one.

It’s a damned shame that irresponsible people can mismanage a place to the edge of disaster and yet know that ultimately the rest of the country will have no choice but to bail them out.

We probably wouldn’t see near the reckless amount of insane policies if there were ever actual consequences on the line.

Californians expecting President Trump to save them from their policies is certainly ironic.

Sure is.

Who knew NV and AZ were so dependent on CA for gasoline? That was dumb to say the least.

This isn't natural disaster or something that couldn't be planned for.

quote:

They need to change their regulations. Not Trump's or the feds responsibility to save California from their own mismanagment.

quote:

Not really California could go belly up and it wouldn't effect the military. Bases are independent from the state. They can survive on their own.

oh well

I have zero issue with the feds helping Nevada and Arizona.

frick California, they need to learn that elections have consequences. You keep electing idiots to state government you will suffer for it.

there is a bigger problem in south texas. Corpus has run out of water and politically is totally locked up on the issue. not a dem/reb issue. its industry versus residential. Industries want free water paid for by residential.

When Cali, Nevada and Arizona fix their voting and sanctuary nonsense....we will think about fixing the gas problem

You are either part of the UNITED states or you arent.
