The best postseason in sports starts today! Some really great first round matchups. I'm most looking forward to Stars/Wild and Lightning/Canadiens

Hurricanes v Senators - 2pm Central Saturday
Stars v Wild - 430pm today
Penguins v Flyers - 7pm today
Avalanche v Kings - 2pm tomorrow
Lightning v Canadiens - 445pm tomorrow
Sabres v Bruins - 630pm tomorrow
Golden Knights v Mammoth - 9pm tomorrow
Oilers v Ducks - 9pm Monday

Can update this with predictions, discussion, and hopefully it won't get stuck to the bottom of the page
If there's enough interest before 2pm today I could even start and link a TD bracket challenge on the NHL website.

It's the series I'm most looking forward to.

I'm thinking Utah is the team I'll adopt for this run.

Also go whoever is playing Vegas.

Hopefully this thread is more active than the regular season thread which for all intents and purposes was a failure.

Yeah it sucks there's not 4 games today and 4 games tomorrow.

My team is out, so I'll be cheering for Carolina and Buffalo in the East. No one jumps out to me in the West, so I'll cheer for carnage out there.

Thanks to the admins for the retarded sticky at the bottom of the page. They need to get rid of those.

A sticky is what it is but to have it all the way at the bottom of this page for the entirety of the season made no sense.

Here are my descriptions of what you're looking for:

Avalanche - my favorite team, best regular season team, has two Top 5 players and very fun to watch
Stars - very solid team, hasn't been over the hump yet
Wild - not much playoff success, semi-fun to watch
Knights - everyone hates them, "new money", underachieved this year but still talented
Oilers - has McDavid, fun to watch offensively but goalie and D are bad, always good games
Ducks - young team first time in playoffs for years, fun offensive players
Kings - old boring team shouldn't even be in the playoffs
Hurricanes - like Dallas trying to get over hump but more likeable, very consistent but lack high end scoring
Penguins - Crosby enough said, massively exceeded expectation of being a lottery team this year to make playoffs
Flyers - how the hell are they here? Very hot, young players, not most exciting style
Sabres - broke 14 year playoff drought, fun offensive players and solid D, noboby knows what will happen with them
Bruins - also shouldn't be here but have been solid this year
Lightning - championship pedigree, Kuch and Vasi are incredible, but older team
Canadiens - fun offense, lots of young talented players, great home game atmosphere
Senators - hot second half of year, if they can get saves they will be dangerous, can goon it up at times

Everybody should be rooting for the Sabres

Tiger Droppings NHL Playoff Bracket

Here's link to the Tiger Droppings league for the NHL bracket challenge if anybody else wants to join

Toughest ones to pick here are Stars/Wild and Lightning/Canadiens
I think winner of the latter gets out of the Atlantic Bracket - wouldn't be surprised to Lightning/Canadiens make the SCF or lose in first round
I also think the Sens can push Carolina to 7 games but probably won't win

Definitely think Carolina would have rather drawn the Bruins.

Joined as well. Just here for the NHL playoff chaos. Intrigued by stars, penguins and sabres series. Don’t really have a favorite team but like the stars and penguins. Sabres are a fun story as well.
