At what point in the season did you say “yeah the baseball team just isn’t good”

No shame in it. We can’t win the natty every year but super depressing athletic year for LSU.
The week we lost to North Eastern ULL and Sac State was some of the most atrocious baseball I’ve seen at LSU in a very long time.
I think that’s when I had to say out loud “yeah this team ain’t it”

I understand it’s hard to be a championship caliber team very year, but damn this season was the worst year for LSU baseball to be arse since we already had to endure an atrocious football season and another expected dumpster fire season of men’s basketball. All 3 being bad in one year just really sucks as fan to put it lightly.

Recent history shows a lot can come together fast and a run can be made. I haven’t given up on this team, but, if these guys end up making a run to Omaha it will have been incredible turnaround.

I was having some concerns going into that series, having already lost 3 midweeks, but at the same time they’re midweeks.
Losing that series the way we did, not being able to hit anything at all in those Sat and Sun games, letting the Sunday starter have the game of his life in what I’m sure Sac State planned to be a Johnny Wholestaff game, was a new level of awful. Sac State isn’t a good team, at all. 16-22 overall, 183 RPI

I haven’t out right said it but it’s really getting hard to be hopeful. I’ve said before though I’ll take a down year. Jay has proven he is very capable of bouncing back from a bad year.

It’s not happening. We’re going 9-21 in SEC play.
Unless JJ has 2 top MLB picks we’re not going anywhere and relegated to bottom 5 SEC.
