The Unplugged track of her with 10,000 Maniacs still is on my best ever list. What a voice

Tigerlily is a fantastic album. Musicianship and recordings of those songs sound so good especially in some headphones today. Kind and generous? Chefs kiss

I apologize for nothing. This song is an all timer

Ann all time great voice. Why hasn’t she remained in the spotlight?

Carnival reminds me of the summer after I graduated high school. I had a new girlfriend, an easy job as a camp counselor, and partied almost nonstop.
Nothing but booze, nookie, and new angles.
This song played on the radio and MTV at least once an hour.

That guitar tone just fills my heart with 80’s goodness.

It's funny because it's the opposite for me. I was well out of HS and I was in one of my darker periods of life and that song triggers that mood and you can't escape how much that song was played.

One of the most underrated lyricists, and her voice is exceptional. I listen to her records still, and my 10yo daughter is a fan as well. She's a treasure to the music industry
Case in point: the brilliant Life Is Sweet

Natalie was one of the best to ever do it. And I will always play her music. Saw Maniacs open for REM around 1984, then Maniacs at Tipitina's the same year. In 1989, I saw Camper Van B. open for Maniacs at McAllister Auditorium. All 3 shows were great.

My favorite - just a beautiful song. Piano work is impeccable. The ending could just go on forever.
