Getting back at whitey

I’m well aware this mindset exists but I have no recollection of ever seeing this interview of an OJ juror(s) saying 90% of the jury knew he was guilty, but the verdict was a payback against the white man. Despicable, man. Like I said, I’m well aware they felt this way, but I never knew there were jurors who openly admitted it. SlowFlowKentaji told me last week jury nullification was way blown out of proportion.

It was very obvious.
That same mentality is what drives most leftists today.

The whole trial by jury thing only works in a largely homogenous society… and it’s way worse now than it was then

Oh well. Not like it was a surprise.

I know, it’s just the audacity of the juror that grabbed my attention. . I was in a state patrol barracks kitchen when they returned the verdict and the whites were in dismay and the blacks jumped up high fiving. Same as my classroom in high school when they announced Reagan had been shot.

I wish Rodney would have never run. Maybe things would be different.

Jury nullification was preached non-stop by the media during the OJ trial.

I sat on a criminal jury years ago, armed robbery case. Perp was a black male. When we deliberated, there was one young black girl that absolutely refused to say he was guilty. There were 12 of us IIRC, but didn't need a unanimous decision to convict him. Evidence laid out had a ton against him. I saw then the future of justice will be bleak

Same exact thing happened in a college rec hall when I watched the verdict live.

Well aware .. probably had as much if not more interaction with them in my life as anyone on this board by virtue of where I live and other factors

saying 90% of the jury knew he was guilty

I think the shock of it may be that we could possibly understand jury nullification for lessor charges like resisting arrest or assaulting a police officer, but frickin murder? And it wasn't just a domestic dispute that went wrong. It was cold-blooded murder. That's a bridge way too damn far.

However hamfisted the prosecution was, they did establish a literal trail of blood from the crime scene into OJ's bedroom.
No reasonable person could conclude anything other than:
1. OJ, with or without associates, personally committed these murders, or
2. The LAPD decided to murder these people and, in advance of doing it, they were going to frame OJ for it.
There is no 3rd reasonable conclusion that could be drawn from the evidence.

The entire jury attended a celebration party at O.J.'s house post verdict.

That whole "jury of your peers" thing has always been mostly a fallacy.

He killed two white people... their lives didn't matter then, haven't since, and sure as shite don't matter now.
The worldviews of different cultures are.. different.
