Lol is this guy serious? The O&G guys sell at whatever the prevailing market rate is, they have no control over price beyond what they can store which is peanuts.

Never, in my lifetime.
Had a friend who owned a couple of gas stations as an adult. For every middleman, there is a transaction. Often, they can buy in bulk, and do when prices are going up to lock in. The larger the company, the more economical (and profitable) it is to do this.
They don't do this when prices decline... they wait.
Regardless, we pay... we always pay.
I don't really care anymore...Least of my concerns.

We are exporting oil, refined and unrefined, out of the country. Keeping more refined oil here will lower gas prices.
