The Bank of America ads had me thinking, which shot was the most iconic in Masters history? These are some recognized as them, in no order, but the Nicklaus 86 and Tiger for me are the top 2.

Mize 11 chip in 1987 to win the playoff
Tiuger chip in 16 2005
Mickelson 2010 Pine straw
Bubba hook from the pine straw
Sarazen Shot heard round the world
Nicklaus 75, 40 ft birdie
Nicklaus 86, yessir, putt

The McIlroy shot on 7 last year where he argued with the caddie then went over the trees and stuck it 5 feet I think should be on this list. It was the one where he was laughing at himself after he pulled it off.

2nd shot on 15 was way better and under way more pressure. Especially after that incident on 13.

This.

Or Rory's 3rd on 13 last year in the final round.

Your list probably sums it up, but I am always reminded of this shot: 86 Masters, Sunday, Jack's 3 iron into 15:

I would add Faldo’s 2 iron on 13 in 96.

Followed Tiger and DiMarco that day. When we got 15, I told my friend that we should go on to 18 tee box. 20 minutes later we heard that roar. One of the biggest mistakes of my life .

Seve in the water on 15 in 1986. Without that, no #6 for Jack.

While I believe that Tiger's is the most viewed, I gotta go with Mize's chip on 11. While not as hard as the chip would be with the current shape of 11 around the green, the thing that is so iconic is that Norman was on the green putting for birdie. Given Norman's history at Augusta as we know it now, it was just another gut punch to him. He lost the '86 Masters with a bogey at 18 to Jack. Then Mize's kick to the nuts. He had to be thinking a two putt would be good odds to win. That list of shots were all iconic but Mize's actually won the tournament.

Nicklaus tee shot at 16 in 86… If the story about the exchange between him and his son while the ball is in the air is true.

It just has to be Tiger’s chip in 2005. That shot probably made Nike a few billion dollars and extended their golf ball production business a decade longer than it otherwise would have lasted.

Verne’s all time great sports call in the moment is icing on the cake.

Mize 11 chip in 1987 to win the playoff

It was in a playoff with Norman.

Local boy wins Masters.

For one shot, that’s the one for me.

The 1986 back 9 was epic. There were so many shots where Jack shared his greatness. 15 in two with a 4 iron and made the eagle. 16 Jackie says, “be right”, Jack says, “it is” and it gets close for another birdie. 17 putt was great, but IF the other 2 don’t happen…
