Has anyone else been to the Atlanta airport recently?
How are those folks affording airline tickets?

Easy to fly when you don't have to worry about rent/food thanks to us taxpayers

Easier to do when your housing, food, transportation, and healthcare are paid for by the government.

Are they actually poor or do they just dress like homeless people because they are lazy and have zero self respect?

They are obviously lower income.
I have been around enough to tell at a glance.

I had a young black chic at the ATL ask me for $5 so she could “get some breakfast at Burger King” as I was eating my breakfast croissant.
I looked at her like she was fricking crazy and said, “No, I don’t have any cash.” Then the bitch has nerve to say, “Well, can you use your credit card?” That’s when I said, “Hell no!”
Of course she was wearing pajama pants, a hoody, and fricking slippers. fricking trash.
I wanted to tell her, “Bitch, you’re at a fricking airport flying somewhere, but you don’t have money for breakfast? Get the frick outta here you frickin hoe.”

Story can’t be true. $5 at an airport Burgerking might get you a small fountain drink

Free rent, free food. Terrible money management.

You seen the price of gas?

Because they milk the welfare system for free healthcare, section 8, food stamps, and obama phones. If the government is paying for their necessities, then most of their income is available for discretionary spending on luxuries

They don’t buy into scams like health, property, and auto insurance. Allows more freedom. My net worth is 2.5 million and give the middle finger to the same.
Have carried minimum liability on auto for 20+ years, haven’t carried home insurance for close to 7 years, and the second I retire early will milk the healthcare system as half my net worth will not be taxable income. Paying cash works.
Mostly I don’t think the people you are seeing are low income. Working from home caters to not showering, shaving, brushing teeth, and mostly a struggle to put on any clothes except for pjs. This is the new norm. Very sad.
