With Jennifer Welch a very close second.
They both do not merely misunderstand reality now and then; they appear to live at a permanent diplomatic distance from it.
They move through everyday life with the serene confidence of people who have never once suspected they might be wrong, mistaking ignorance for wisdom and habit for insight. Every opinion arrives fully formed, untouched by curiosity, evidence, or self-doubt.
They are the kind of people who confuse being loud with being correct, being familiar with being informed, and being comfortable with being competent.
The modern world can change, facts can shift, ordinary people can struggle, but none of it makes much impression on them. Reality, in their view, is less a thing to understand than a nuisance to be overruled.
Together they form a closed loop of misplaced certainty, reinforcing every stale assumption and applauding every clueless conclusion as though insight has finally entered the room.
They are out of touch in the most effortless way possible: not dramatically, not accidentally, but as a stable feature of character. The needs, pressures, and experiences of actual people pass by them like weather outside a sealed window.
And yet they remain deeply convinced that they, of all people, have a firm grasp on “how the world works.” In truth, they are not students of life so much as permanent commentators on a version of it they have mostly imagined.
Just my personal opinion.

They’re quite clearly repulsive.
(Yes I know Trump is too. But for way, waaaaay different reasons).
I can work with Trump’s style of repulsive. Gavin’s is a nom starter. That man cannot be in charge of me.

This woman had sex with Harvey Weinstein for parts in movies. Imagine being Gavin Newsome & knowing this & STILL making her your second wife after cheating on your first wife with your best friend & Chief of Staff’s wife. She is truly insane.

I have a buddy who's wife is just like this. Big money, zero responsibilities, lots of time on her hands, came from a very conservative midwest family and rejects their mindset, went hard progressive.
But you can bet if some refugees or battered spouses were walking down the fairway at her country club she'd have them removed in a lightening fast moment. They might muss up the wax job on the Range Rover.
