23.3% Reuben Bain - Edge
20.5% Carnell Tate - WR
17.8% Mansoor Delane - CB
40.4% Mystery Box - multiple with much lower %

Ignore the mystery box (it might be a boat!) and pick of the chosen three!

Delane. You have to have a shutdown corner to have a good defense and we don’t have one. He’s that dude.

They have Bailey and Downs still on the board and they don't have us pulling the trigger on either? That's not very likely.

Now as for the three choices, I don't see us going WR in round one (it also seems to be just about every talking heads pick for us). It just would depend on how the Saints have Bain and Delane graded in that situation. If I had to choose between the two I would go Delane. Position of need and there are fewer question marks for him than Bain.

having a game changing defensive edge that consistently gets pressure on oposing QBs, forces him to throw sooner. thus making bad decisions. you only need average cornerback in this scenario

Bain is the pick if he is there of those 3.

I'm running to the podium if Bain is there at 8. He might be the best player in the entire draft.

The more I look at it, the more I am hoping the Cowboys offer us 12 and 20 for 8 and pick 42 for Bailey if he is there.

Then the Saints select Downs, Delane, Tate, or Bain at 12

Ioane, Boston, or McCoy at 20

Delane should be the clear choice. The Saint have a hole in the defensive secondary and Delane is the best CB in the draft.
Bain would be my 2nd choice but with Granderson and Young the Saint can afford to pass on him.
Tate I think will be a clone of Olave which may not be a bad thing but it the top WRs I like Lemon best. But not at 8.

En the end there will be a great player available for the Saints at 8. I just hope they don’t pull a Mickey and trade up or down but that’s less of a worry.

Take the mystery box. If Bain is there trade the pick for at least 2 first rounders and drop back a few spots and get BPA.

Someone is going to want Bain if he is there for the Saints, so make them pay dearly for him.

The chart is deceiving. The #1 graph is highest probability. Bailey is 2nd highest probability for 2nd and 3rd pick.

Of course we'd take @ 8, but there's little probability he is available

That’s not who Bain is at all. Bain is a short squat edge setting DE that doesn’t consistently get sacks and his short stature will limit him further in that area in the future.

The guy you described is Reese and Bailey who are pass rushing OLB who can bend and get to the QB.

We already have a guy in Chase who gets “pressures”. I want a finisher. A winner. A guy who can sack the QB. A Hutchinson, Garrett, or Watt.

Again, Bain is Warren Martin or Frank Warren. Bailey and Reese are Pat Swilling.

If it is one of those three guys then I am disappointed. Delane I guess

IF Love goes in the top 4, we will get an OLB. If not we choose b/w Downs and Delane.

I agree that having a great edge is a game changer. The problem is that Bain isn’t a game changer at edge. He will be neutralized by top OT due to short arms.
He’s the kind of player who gets 8 sacks a year but when you look at the game logs, he had 14 games w no sacks and got all of his sacks in three games against lower tier or back up OT.
