Is Milam a big leaguer?

We all know how great Milam is with the glove, but is his bat good enough to make it to the big leagues? Does his skillset translate and where will he be drafted? 5th round?

Nah. I’m hoping his less than stellar BA this year convinced him to stay one more year as our SS though.

Nope… He has a great glove, but average arm, average range and no power.

He has major league defensive ability, but I don't think his size and hitting will translate to the big leagues. I wish him the best though.

Who knows. His hitting has to come a LONG way

Not enough pop but he is very good defensively if he improves bat to ball he could make a roster or 2.

His glove and defensive mind is legit. His batting is solid. As a big leaguer though if you are going to be small you have to be next level in every facet. I don’t know that he cannot become that, but as of now he doesn’t have what it will take to make it.

Idk and I talk to my friends about this a bit. At this point he is what he is. Glove is great but he's streaky at best at the plate. When he's on he's really on but it's the exception, not the rule.

I’m hoping this as well and I don’t know his financial situation, but you’d have to think that he looked at what happened to Gavin Dugas and Milam would for sure leave while he still has leverage. Dugas was a fine young ball player and even had eye surgery and he only signed for $20,000 which was $337,000 under slot

Define Big Leaguer?
Make it to a MLB team? NO
Bump around in A/AA ball and be like Tommy Tanks? SURE
****See Dylan Crews***** he was drafted top 3 and had a much bigger upside than Milam and he has struggled mightly.

How should we know? We all thought Dylan Crews would be there

Yea I think he’ll play in the big leagues
He likely won’t be a regular, but lots of teams carry guys who aren’t great hitters but can play very good middle infield defense. The switch hitting helps too

He’ll never be a big anything. He may make it in the show though.

I’m no expert, but I don’t think people in this thread are either.
For 2025-
Average major league batting average was .245.
I know Milam isn’t a great hitter, but he is capable of hitting mid 200s.
And his fielding is excellent.
I think he is in for a pay day.

M8 he’s hitting mid .200’s in his 3rd year of college ball he isn’t sniffing mid .200’s at the pro level unless he’s willing to sacrifice whatever pop he has
