Fast planes and big ole gals in small bathing suits.
All that is great about America.

I saw a short video by one of the pilot's moms. She was syaing they started going to that airshow when said pilot was 3. He is now flying in the T-bird show.
Pretty damn cool. I know if I ever had a chance to see my son at work I would be damn sure to. Problem is the only way that would happen is if he and his buddies had to come rescue my arse from some shite situation I should not have gotten in at this point.

I can tell you that watching the Blue Angels show on PCB is one of the coolest things I've ever done. "Breakfast with the Blues" they do during the week - Tuesday or Wednesday can't remember - was incredible. It's basically just them flying all around low and FAST. It was also INSANE to see how many people were there on the beach, gulf, and bay on Saturday

Houston Fleet Week starts on the 15th. The big demos (military working dog, CSAR, etc) seem to be on the 19th. I hope there is a great turnout, so they'll do it again. The USS Kearsarge is a near aircraft carrier size, and the USCG will have a boat out there. Considering my son's grades, I look at it as a job fair.

LCAC Amphibious Demo: Watch the massive Navy Hovercraft (Landing Craft Air Cushion) hit the beach!
USCG Search & Rescue: See the Coast Guard’s life-saving maneuvers in action over the water.
Navy Band Performances: Enjoy live, patriotic sets from the world-class U.S. Navy Band.
Military Working Dogs: Witness the incredible skill and discipline of these K9 heroes.
Static Displays: Get hands-on with cutting-edge military equipment, vehicles, and tech.

Same. It was a great day.
They buzzed those condos pretty close. Bet it was wild being on one of those balconies.

Fun fact: "Hoss" Jones, Bert Jones' older brother, was a Thunderbird pilot
