They made a Silent Movie about Bobby, starring Bobby a couple of years later, Call of the West. An incomplete version is on Youtube, only gets up to when they went to Indiana

There’s a movie called Red Dog that is based around something like this from around 15 years ago. It’s based on a true story of his life, good watch

Lassie Come Home was probably based on this story.

The dog recounted all it’s travels to the scriptwriter so that the movie would be a true story

Well, various people took care of the dog along his way home. But crossing the Rockies in the dead of winter. Damn.

Actually, you’re bullshite. It was heavily reported. People who take care of him along the way sent letters to the Braziers detailing their experiences with Bobbie.

A silent movie was made about him. The vet took care of him because he was in such sad shape.

After they read about the story in the papers? And none of those people, after finding him, looking rough, took him in as their own permanently? They just fed him a few days and let him wander off?

Yeah these are the same people who fell for Orson Welles and Helen Keller.
