60 y/o

Reduced muscle mass and increased body fat, particularly around the abdomen.
Chronic fatigue, lack of motivation

Trouble focusing, memory loss, and difficulty sleeping

no major libido and ED issues (but could be much better)

had my blood test and.......everything's very very normal.

The numbers:

Testosterone : 711
Test free, calc : 129
SHBG: 47

is there anything to combat the things listed above if it's not low T ?

I’d start with increasing your muscle mass and reducing fat. A good diet and exercise program can do wonders.

get on TRT. Go to a men's health specialist.

typically between 300 and 1,000 ng/dL,

Think about that range. The 60 year old sitting next to you at church could have 3x the amount of T you have and you'd both be called "normal."

You could have 301 ng/dl and be called normal. But if your levels were 500 ng/dl 5 years ago, it's not normal for you.

Yep. It's much more complex than just "get on TRT". As you point out - trends are important + personal baseline. Free T is also arguably more important than total T.

IMO, one should be very sure that whatever deficiencies they are describing are derived effects of "low T" before just getting on it willy nilly.

The problem is, a lot of this is still just educated guesswork as we don't have a reliable method to measure density of T receptors. That's the real info you would want.

Don’t just “get on TRT.”

TRT tells your body to quit producing testosterone.
Lift heavy, eat right, get sleep.
You’ll feel like a new man and your problems will go away

I had a near 1400 pound total, and my T was under 250. What you mentioned helps mental health, some T, etc., but it can't fix everything.

have your thyroid levels checked as well because hypothyroidism can present some of the same symptoms as low T

Sounds like it's more mental than anything else....depression maybe?

Getting improved sleep alone could greatly improve all of your problems. Sleep is very underrated in terms of day to day living.

No T expert.

Will offer master of obvious stuff (cannot scream loud enough how the following has positively impacted me and why I share here):

Move (whatever floats your boat, do it most days. I hike 20 miles & full body workout 3X per week. Love this. Do what you love and do it often).

Get sunlight most days (2 for 1 if you are moving outside).

Move & Sunlight beget better sleep. This is so important. House of cards without good sleep. Right quantity and right hours have had THE MOST positive impact on my life. Clear headedness and focus, mood, lower hunger for bad foods, path to happiness all benefited).

Right food, amount and time of day. This is 2nd MOST positive impact on my life. I don’t use a scale. I use clothes. Down 2 sizes by eating high quality food (protein, fruits, vegetables and less simple sugar), just amt that I need and when I need it. My weakness is night eating (don’t need…) so work on progress here myself!

Stay hydrated through day. Don’t over do it. Water and coffee (diuretic I know) are my go tos. Water throughout day.

Something spiritual, learn something new, help others rounds me out.

No supplements, vitamins or anything else. Just good balanced diet, regular movement, sun and good sleep…magic potions for me.

Game/life changer formula for me.

Hope helps!

your numbers are fine

1) get on boron
2) get on daily Cialis
3) focus on getting 150g protein in from whole food
4) i personally at your age, cut out all refined carbs and keep carbs to rice, potatoes and sweet potatoes only
5) if you have never lifted before, go on a basic novice linear progression and then transition to 531.
