Is anyone in the mid morning to late morning delivery window for packages?

No matter where I live I always end up being in the late afternoon to early evening window.

Im pretty rural.

Usps usually comes around 10.

Ups and fed ex can be anywhere between 11-4.

FedEx usually gives me the mid-morning delivery window before passing up my city 3 times to go 480 miles out of the way then finally delivering my item 4 days later at 8:00pm.

They run the farthest deliveries first, then work their way back in to home base.

The packages almost always get delivered after dark. Except when it's raining hard. Then they get delivered at 10am while nobody can take them inside.

Lol
I think about this often
I'm a huge online shopper
I track 3-6 packages per day to my home and almost every delivery happens between 5 and 9 pm
Tracking shows USPS, UPS, Fedex & Amazon trucks leaving out at 6:00 am
I don't live in the sticks
What the hell takes them so long?

My office gets Fed Ex about 10, UPS about 12, and Postal service around 2.

My home gets USPS around 11am, Fed ex and UPS are both between 4:30 and 6. I feel bad for my UPS guy at home there's been days he's around at 7pm.

I used to think the same

I have Amazon shite delivered between 5-7 am regularly. I also currently live in a house that will have UPS/fedex delivered before noon like half the time.

I’m 35 and have lived in like a dozen homes apartments fwiw.

Thinking about this made me nostalgic for the holidays, seeing the UPS truck still making rounds at dark, a cold chill in the air. Day dreaming and almost felt like I was there!

Pure speculation, but maybe the sketchy neighborhoods get early deliveries before everyone is out and about, and the nicer neighborhoods get the late afternoon and into the night deliveries.

One things for sure, nothing gets delivered to my house before 4:00PM.

It’s usually late evening where we live in rural Texas, but a few days ago, our doorbell rang at 6 AM for a delivery.

I had a customer come to my Post Office during peak season, complaining about getting her mail delivered after dark. I told her since she lives on the larger route, on the next to the last street on that route and it gets dark much quicker in the wintertime, she could either move to a street on the beginning of the route or rent a PO Box and get her packages by 9:00am every morning.

Same...and, without fail, I also always end up living where the extra loud garbage trucks pick up the bins at 4:30 a.m.

frickin this man. I’ve never received packages before 2-3 at the earliest. I’ve always wondered about the lucky SOBs that are first on a route, and what life must be like in greener pastures.
