quote:

It was around 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30 when LPSO deputies responded to a home on Patterson Road in Springfield for an armed robbery.

LPSO says two masked men, now identified as Rickey Rogers, 67, and Alvin Johnson, 65, both of Baton Rouge, forced their way into the home and demanded money from the victim.

When the victim refused, LPSO says the two men allegedly hit her with a weapon “knocking her to the floor from her wheelchair.” They’re then accused of taking her cellphone from her, keeping her from calling for help & then zip-tied her hands. LPSO said the victim is doing okay.

The men are accused of taking the victim’s safe from her home with cash.

During the investigation, LPSO detectives identified a suspect vehicle & tracked it to Baton Rouge. BRPD officers found the vehicle & both suspects on N. Foster in Baton Rouge. BRPD officers recovered the stolen cash.

Both Rogers and Johnson were booked into the EBR Parish Prison on behalf of Livingston Parish. They will be charged with home invasion & armed robbery.

“Based on what detectives now know, we believe this was a targeted attack,” LPSO Sheriff Jason Ard said.

The level of depravity it must take to carefully plan, drive 45 minutes, and then prey upon a handicapped woman in a wheelchair is astounding. The fact the two men are in their 60’s themselves clearly demonstrates that they are and have long been hopelessly lost in their own depravity.

Everything about this screams "There's more to the story".

The ages, the location, the fact that they drove that far.

This wasn't a random encounter. How much y'all want to bet she owes them money and refuses to pay it. Like they did some work that was unsatisfactory and she refused to pay for it.

Absolutely wasn’t some random encounter. I agree, but still sick in the head nonetheless.

"Maybe she owes them money." I've heard that several times in situations involving democrats.

A female friend of mine drove up to a very democratic gas station (running out of gas, had to) and saw this young democrat getting hit on the back by a male democrat with a 2 by 4. She, being her, pulled out her pistol and told the young lady to get in the car. When she got back to work (night shift at Conway), she told us the story. A male democrat listening spoke up and said, "Why did you interfere, she could have owed him money!!!"

Culture.

They began ruining Juban Crossing soon after it began taking tenants for its stores. Just like the mall of Cortana, and the mall of Louisiana, Juban crossing will eventually fall to the darkness.

You ought to see the line to enter the Louis Vuitton store. Very interesting.

Any guesses on the combined arrests and convictions these two brain surgeons have accumulated in their illustrious careers?

And since they took a safe, I’m betting they found out she had a safe through someone who was in the house, doing maintenance or perhaps a healthcare worker.

This makes me think of that old couple Ascension Parish who got killed for a safe built into their house. At least one of the killers had been a workman involved with installing the safe IIRC.

I’m shocked they lived long enough to keep doing this. Street level criminals tend to either go to jail or die young.

Yet again this proves we don’t have nearly enough people incarcerated!

. Because they’ve likely done it since they were teenagers with little to no consequences

Houston learned the hard way, about exporting anyone from Louisiana, and still is reeling from it.

I am curious to hear the rest of the story. 2 60 plus year old guys drive to middle of nowhere where Springfield to tie up and rob an old woman in. Wheelchair, there is more here they are leaving out

We are a nation of laws and that is not the proper collections process.
