WVUE-TV meteorologist Hannah Gard is leaving New Orleans for a new gig in a new city, she announced Friday on social media.
Gard, who started working at Fox 8 in 2022, said she and her husband are moving out of the Crescent City so he can continue his education to become a physical therapist. She said she has an “exciting new opportunity” as well, but did not divulge other details.
“I moved here fresh out of college and it became a second home to me thanks to all of you,” Gard said in a Facebook post.
Her last day at the Gray-owned TV station is April 29.
In her resignation post, Gray said her Fox 8 colleagues have become family and that saying goodbye “is the hardest thing to do.”
