IF true it is not going to be a good weekend in the Rodina. Could you imagine the chaos if electronic banking, credit cards, etc stopped working nationwide in the USA.

ETA: Grok and international media have verified that Russian media is reporting this.

Or could be selective in reporting.
Who cares anymore?
I’m at the point to where if you’re not “taking care” of the commie revolutionary problem in our country you’re doing the country a disservice.

You’re = govt

This is from The Moscow Times, a very anti Putin Russian site…

quote:

Russia’s largest lender, Sberbank, said Friday that it experienced a temporary disruption to its services, as customers of other major banks like VTB and T-Bank reported similar outages. Sberbank customers began reporting issues with making payments and transferring money around 10 a.m. Moscow time. Some also struggled to withdraw cash from ATMs and access the bank’s mobile app, according to monitoring services Downdetector and Sboy.rf. By noon, Sberbank said it had restored all services after earlier acknowledging that “some” customers were experiencing difficulties. The outages come amid an uptick in government-imposed internet restrictions, including measures targeting WhatsApp and Telegram.

quote:

Data from Downdetector showed reports of outages spiking across Russia’s banking sector for roughly two hours on Friday morning. The Central Bank’s National Payment Card System (NSPK) said the outage was caused by a “technical failure at one of the banks,” adding that its own systems were operating normally. “This situation has no impact on the safety of funds,” NSPK said. The system oversees Russia’s Fast Payment System, an instant interbank transfer service using phone numbers and QR codes, which was also affected by Friday’s outages.

Another article from them…

quote:

People across Russia began reporting problems accessing Telegram over the weekend, raising speculation among tech industry experts that the government may have already moved to block the messaging app ahead of an anticipated crackdown next month. Russia’s Main Radio Frequency Center, an agency of the media regulator Roskomnadzor, said at least one-third of outage complaints that began emerging around Saturday came from Moscow, followed by St. Petersburg and several other cities across the country’s 11 time zones.

We must demand regime change in Russia. They will get a nuke and then the whole world will be in danger. We have to fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here.

Well, we’ll just have to wait and see if “Russia’s entire payment system has collapsed.”

This should be able to be determined pretty quickly because, as you say, “things are about to get ugly in Mother Russia.”

If their “entire payment system has collapsed,” I should hear from my in laws real soon.
