I have come to believe that inner peace is the most difficult thing for a human to have, and that it was of utmost importance to Jesus since the first words he said to the apostles collectively after rising was “Peace be with you.” I truly believe it can only be achieved through faith in the Lord, but very few are able to have it. The world is not a peaceful place.

I think if you give Joel Osteen $1,000 Jesus is supposed to owe you like $10,000 back.

Holy Week like Passover is a seven day journey. And comes from their word Pesach which breaks down into pass through (like through the water) or pass over as to spare.

With the difference being for Jew's it starts with the Erev Seder (or Passover) meal and for Christians it's starts on Palm Sunday. Which we all know as the donkey riding day. Which for them was the day they sought out a non-blemish lamb for the slaughter. It was lamb selection day, you can search for it, it was a real day. It's where they bring this critter into their homes and careful watch it for 4 days. To make sure it's pure, without defect, and being worthy of offering to G_D... (note: they always capitalize it but never spell out the word God).

Which is pretty much the story of a day one donkey ride and the next three days of various temple stuff. One spent cleansing the Temple, one for the word to get around (hey guys), another day for the people to react. Folks like Judas. And the Sadducee, the politically elite power brokers (the priests) who were in league with Rome. And the Pharisee, not the as often told bad guys, but the uber religious ( those who Jesus told - you wouldn't save a lamb on the Sabbath). And all the others sects. For everyone to decide if this was indeed the right Lamb. Which then accounts for Sun, Mon, Tues, and Wed.

Day five is Preparation Day. It's also searchable and includes the cooking of meals and cleaning house. Which for this week would require having not one but two days of food ready. (**for why) They actually remove all yeast and bread, including the sour dough, to symbolize the bread of haste or unleavened bread as we call it. It's were all the risen bread is removed from the house.

It's starts with the Last Supper meal which starts at sundown and it's just before the big show ends on Thursdays daylight hours. So yes there was still risen bread to be broken and passed around. I'll refrain from the details but it had to end before sunset on day five or Thursday. Because at dark that's when they start celebrating the Seder Meal. And it's quite the thrown down.

**It's important to note here: that the pass-over day itself is a Sabbath. In essence like a high holy day in Catholicism or Christmas for other Christians, where the day of the week doesn't matter. And if it falls on a Saturday you still have to go to church again the next day...on Sunday. You still have to observe both. So for them this week it's two back to back days of Sabbath. A special Friday sabbath and the normal Saturday sabbath hence the third day would be a Sunday. It's why everyone was so caught up in themselves. They had to get ready, to get right, custom demanded it.

And BTW if looking for a body they might should have started looking at dark on Saturday and not waited until the following morning, after all why dilly dally and wait around in the grave?

Yet most Christians would rather go to the Sugar Bowl or 30A or Disney World or buy a brand new $50,000+ vehicle than visit the places where all these things so central to theirs lives supposedly happened.

I will never understand it.
