Maybe it was astrophysics, engineering, and rocket science after all..
All seriousness, that is pretty cool to be a small part of history like that.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A Southern University College alumnus has a hand in making it back to the moon.
NASA launches the Artemis II mission on Wednesday, the first crewed mission to fly to the moon in more than 50 years.
Jeremy Plater, who grew up in Shreveport, is part of the historic mission launching April 1, 2026.
Southern University College of Engineering performed approximately 80 percent of the harness wiring for the Artemis I rocket. Plater is a Southern University alumnus who now contributes to the Artemis II mission.
The Artemis II rocket is scheduled for liftoff on April 1, 2026, with a two-hour launch window opening at 5:24 p.m. The mission is a 10-day crewed lunar flyby.
Plater said aerospace engineering was never a childhood dream.
“Never count yourselves out. You never know where your journey may lead. You can be the next engineer making history.”
Jeremy Plater, Southern University Alumnus, Artemis II Contributor
Southern University is the only HBCU in the United States designated as a land-grant institution. The university was founded in 1880 and is located in Baton Rouge.
Southern University prepares students for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, with direct contributions to NASA’s Space Launch System program.

Recent news reports indicate the power grid was a fine engineering feat at that campus?

BS. We all know it was a crew of 5 Mexicans crawling all around and doing the dirty work.
Maybe they designed it, but they sure as hell didn't do the labor end of it.

“What y’all want us to design? Orbital Mechanics & Trajectory Optimization? Propulsion? Maybe some Thermal analysis?”
“See them wires right there? Make sure they don’t go no where”

How about giving credit to someone that’s out of Louisiana, especially when it comes to something like this.

They had a class with a student who at one time built a vessel that’ll keep an egg from breaking from being dropped really, really high.
Won his team a bucket from Popeyes.
