Did anyone else sit through this Predator rip-off? It was so predictable and without spoiling anything- - the only mechanism to defeat the baddie more stupid than this was throwing water on the aliens in SIGNS.
Alan Ritchson owes me 103 minutes of my life back.

It was mindless fun. You don’t have to be upset about it.
Or maybe you do.

The solution to defeating the impenetrable alien war mech was… love.
J/K
Nothing a totally convenient mining site & fatal design flaw by a super advanced alien species can’t solve.

It's a netflix movie how much were you expecting?

My wife and I watched it the other night. I didn't watch any trailers or clips prior to watching. I did not know it was an alien robot movie. Two things, it appears to be aiming towards a sequel. And during the movie, I kept hearing little creature noises, thinking it was going to be some alien reveal, and it never happened....
Overall we enjoyed the movie. I thought the closing scenes were cheesy as hell.

A drone with some spray foam would destroy those retarded alien machines.

It felt like a throw back to the dumb 80's -90's sci fi action movies I grew up renting as a kid. Not a great movie by any means but entertaining enough for a watch.

Sequel:
"They've evolved, sir. The energy core vents are now on its underside."
"You know what to do Alan Ritcherson."
"Sir, yes sir!"

Shut your whore mouth. Signs was great and the build up to the final scene with the water was a great payoff.

Signs is fricking brilliant, and I will argue this until I'm blue in the face and die on that hill. People who bitch about it being an "alien movie" or dumb shite like the water comment above completely missed the entire point of the movie. The water thing was brilliantly done, and was a great payoff.
Signs is MNS's GOAT movie.

It's an all timer for me. Clearly his best, and whatever of his you pick for 2nd best isn't particularly close.
The score, the "everything happens for a reason" construction, the characters and acting...just top shelf.

I don't need your war machine
I don't need your ghetto scene

Somewhere in Hollywood:
YES! Greenlit, $200 mil budget but the new leads are Ritchson, Rachel Zegler and a kid.

I dont think anyone was expecting Alan Ritchson to win an Oscar.
It was a fun movie.
And I would rather have writers and director place the "rifle over the fireplace" in scene 1 than just "Stephen King"ing the ending.
6 out of 10.
If you've just watched a bunch of chickflicks on streaming, pump the enjoyment factor to 7.5 out of 10.

It was mindless/pointless fun. Big bad vs. outmatched tough guys and blow a lot of stuff up. Very 90s action movie, didn't hate it.

I wasn't that young, and I don't scare easily, but that first sighting on the home video camera at the children's party, it good me good.
